Nottinghamshire County Council has launched its first-ever survey dedicated to the legend of Robin Hood.
The council says it is a chance for people to share how you see Robin Hood in terms of his image and how it is used to promote attractions such as Sherwood Forest and Nottingham Castle.
The authority’s visitor economy consultation in 2023 revealed that Robin Hood and Sherwood Forest were the most popular elements of the area’s tourism offering.
Feedback also suggested that more could be done to showcase the legendary outlaw.
“By filling in this survey, you’ll be helping us put an action plan together all about how we can showcase Robin Hood and support tourism across the county,” a spokesperson said.
“We want to gather valuable insights on the perceptions and relevancy of Robin Hood and Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire.
“This will inform our research on this unique selling point for our area, monitor public opinion and help us understand how we can help support businesses who want to do more to benefit from the legend.”
The survey – which takes a out 10 minutes to complete – includes questions for local businesses about how they can use the Robin Hood brand.
As well as completing the survey on behalf of a business, people can also fill in the survey as a member of the public.
All survey entrants will have the option to enter a prize draw to win a one-night deluxe pod stay for three at Holme Pierrepont Country Park campsite.
