The cobblestones of Mill Street in Macclesfield are set to “sizzle” as the town prepares for the return of its annual pancake races.
The event, on Tuesday 17 February 2026, will see local firms and community groups sprinting up and down outside the town hall in a bid to raise funds for East Cheshire NHS Charity.
Starting at midday, teams of four will go head-to-head in a relay while flipping their pancakes.
Registration is now open, at £40 per team of four. Organisations can enter multiple teams.
Money raised goes to East Cheshire NHS Charity, which supports NHS facilities in the area including Macclesfield General Hospital, Knutsford Community Hospital and Congleton War Memorial Hospital.
“The pancake race has become a cornerstone of our fundraising calendar,” said fundraising manager Lily Preston.
“It’s a brilliant way for the Macclesfield community to come together, have a laugh, and provide tangible support to the healthcare services we all rely on.”
