Launched in September 2018, the idea behind Taste Knutsford is to showcase the best of Knutsford’s eateries, with guests walking around the picturesque town sampling a variety of foods.
Stop-offs along the way include: brunch, charcuterie, ice creams and sorbet, tapas, afternoon tea and gin.
Each Taste Knutsford tour lasts approximately 3 hours and is led by a food-loving tour guide.
Bookings are limited to 15 people per tour, and they’re best suited for those aged 14 years or older (although bespoke group tours are also available).
Below you’ll find details of some of the venues included in the tour:
Dexter & Jones
Taste Knutsford drink: We are known for our perfectly served gin and tonics. We love to support local distillery’s on the Taste Knutsford tour, but be sure to have a look at our range when you next visit.
Suggested for your next visit: Big Hill Distillery Rose Gin garnished with raspberry, fresh mint and a fever tree Mediterranean tonic.

Taste Knutsford featured dish: One of the dishes we currently serve for Taste knutsford is ‘Calamares a la Andaluza’ – fried squid rings with aioli.
Suggested for your next visit: When you’re next dining with us, we recommend tasting our fresh seafood paella. This Valencian rice dish has ancient roots and is often regarded as Spain’s national dish. It’s a festive dish that celebrates the joy of communal dining, rather then a formal knife and fork affair and gives you the chance to experience true family Spanish dining!

Taste Knutsford featured cocktail: STAR LIGHT – reaching for the cosmos and the colour of the sun, this mango vodka, mango liqueur, vanilla, pineapple and lemon martini comes with a sugar-rimmed shot of Prosecco.
Suggested for your next visit: duck breast, sweet potato mash, steamed spinach and winter veg served with a red wine and cherry glaze

The Tea Room
Taste Knutsford featured dish: We’re currently serving brunch on the Taste Knutsford tour. Our ‘tasters’ include The King Street Special and Cheese and Bacon Scones amongst others, so we’d like to feature these two, if possible. The King Street Special consists of hot buttered seeded granary toast, topped with thin slices of avocado, smoked salmon, two poached eggs and, finally, a twist of lemon – slightly decadent and absolutely delicious. The Cheese and Bacon Scones are a new addition to our brunch menu and are packed with mature cheddar and pieces of smoked bacon – served fresh from the oven, so they have a slight crusty bite on the top (I could eat a tray of them!)
Suggested for your next visit: When people visit The Tea Room, the first thing they see is our extensive display of fresh home-baked cakes and scones (served with home-made jam and clotted cream). We have the biggest and best selection of cakes in Knutsford and once customers try them, they come back either for more of the same, or to try the others they really fancied, but couldn’t manage on the day!

The Market Cafe Knutsford (inside Knutsford Market Hall)
Taste Knutsford featured dish: We serve our famous sausage rolls on the tour. They were entered in an actual sausage roll competition! (We can do adaptations depending on allergies etc.)
Suggested for your next visit: Our most popular dish is a difficult one; we do a mega full English breakfast plated or in a wrap – but our toasties and wraps are also very tasty too! Our brownies are also very popular. We also do outside catering for all types of events! Ollie is a French-trained chef and has worked in many three rosette restaurants!
