This Saturday (21st August, 12.30pm kick-off) Nantwich Town Wolves Visually Impaired Football Club and Nantwich Town Pan Disability are jointly hosting a football tournament on the astroturf pitches at Nantwich Town Football Club.
The event will feature two Nantwich Town Wolves VIFC 5-a-side teams and two Nantwich Town Pan Disability 5-a-side teams.
The four teams will play a round robin tournament playing each other twice, leading to semi-finals and a final.
Trophies will be awarded to the winners and runners-up. Spectators are welcome to attend.
From Sunday 29th August (4pm) Nantwich Town Wolves VIFC are introducing weekly pan disability football training sessions for Under 16s, taking place on the astroturf pitches.
Nantwich Town Wolves VIFC already offer free pan-disability football training sessions for over 16s every Friday (7-8pm), also taking place on the astroturf pitches.
Nantwich Town Wolves VIFC is run by Craig Acton and Keir Welch.
Craig, of Nantwich Town Wolves VIFC, said: “I would like to encourage people to come along and watch us play this Saturday.
“We will show that when it comes to football, disability doesn’t mean lack of ability. Hopefully, it will broaden people minds to the things that ‘disabled’ people can do.
“I am proud to be a part of Nantwich Town FC with Wolves, the Pan Disability team and now the up and coming Nantwich Town Cubs U16s.”
