The monthly Off The Rails Classic Car Meet returned to the Crewe Heritage Centre on Sunday (12th March 2023).
The event started at 10am and continued into the early afternoon on Vernon Way in Crewe, and was free of charge to enter.
It featured dozens of cars, vans, and motorbikes and took place in dry weather.
Vehicles on display came from manufacturers including Austin, Dodge, Ford, Hillman, Mazda, Mercedes, MG, Morris, Peugeot, Porsche, Riley, Rochdale, Rolls-Royce, Rover, Smart, Subaru, Triumph, Vauxhall, and VW.
Exhibitors and visitors travelled from Crewe and Nantwich and further afield.
A video of the event will be available to view on the Old Classic Car YouTube channel.
The Crewe Heritage Centre site was also open to visitors – including its North Junction Box signal box raised viewing area, gift shop and cafe.
Visitors could also inspect the Advanced Passenger Train (APT); InterCity 125 High Speed Train (HST); and Crewe Station A signal box.
All profits from the gift shop and cafe help to support the work of Crewe Heritage Centre as an educational charity to invest back into the museum.
Crewe Heritage Centre is located between the Crewe-Chester line and West Coast Mainline on the site of the original Crewe Locomotive Works.
It was officially opened by Her Late Majesty Queen and His Late Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh, on 24th July 1987, to mark the 150th anniversary of the first train to arrive at Crewe Railway Station (in 1837).
The next Off The Rails Classic Car Meet takes place on Sunday 9th April 2023 (open to public from 10am).
People displaying a vehicle are asked to arrive between 8am and 9.30am. Entry is free for those exhibiting a classic vehicle plus one guest.
