Local charity The End of Life Partnership (EoLP) was delighted to receive a donation of £5,000 from Orbitas, the wholly owned company of Cheshire East Council which carries out bereavement and handyperson services on the council’s behalf.
EoLP, based in Sandbach, works with the local community and professionals to support them to achieve good quality bereavement care.
Orbitas supports elderly, disabled and vulnerable people in the community with a range of home repair and improvement services as well as managing the council’s crematoria and cemeteries.
Raising funds from re-cycling has enabled Orbitas to donate to local charities who provide help and support for people who are bereaved.
Cllr David Marren, chairman of Orbitas Bereavement Services, commented: “No one wants to talk about death, but sometimes people need to talk and are unable to find anyone to listen.
“We are delighted to help The End of Life Partnership work in the community to raise awareness of the importance of preparing for a good death and supporting the bereavement process.”
Salli Jeynes, CEO of The End of Life Partnership, added: “Many thanks to Orbitas, we are thrilled to receive this donation.
“The money will be used to help us continue our work with local communities and care staff to help families cope with bereavement, grief and loss.”
