Debenhams launches its Christmas campaign today (11th Nov).
It’s an amuse-bouche to keep us all occupied until the main event from John Lewis, of course (side note: we really hope they’re planning to bring back Excitable Edgar this year).
Whilst Debenhams lacks the cash to hire big celebs (M&S has a whole raft of A-listers lined up in their socially-distanced queue!) they get by with a little help from their friends instead.
Debenhams says their 2020 festive advertising campaign is centred around thoughtful gifting – and it features the chain’s loyal customers and colleagues.
The video sees real families from across the UK exchanging gifts, and includes a few luxury brands such as Tiffany & Co and Acqua di Parma.
Mark Stevens, Debenhams’ creative director, commented: “We recognise just how important Christmas will be this year, more than ever before.”
The campaign will run across digital, social media and print from Wednesday 11th November.
