A group of students at the University of Chester is inviting people to test out their detective skills as they host a murder mystery experience to raise money for a local charity.
The students are running the “I Do or Do I?” escape room challenge in aid of Clatterbridge Cancer Charity on Friday 28th February.
The immersive experience will take place at the Music Hall Tap in Chester, with groups of six to eight working together to unravel the mystery.
The event is set at the wedding of characters Eric and Elena – on what was supposed to be the happiest day of their lives, but has quickly turned into the worst.
Teams will have one hour to delve deep into the crime scene, discovering clues and evidence to uncover the truth. Time slots run from 12pm and 7pm.
Food and drink will be available after completion of the challenge, as well as a raffle – with tickets drawn the day after the event.
Hannah Walsh, community fundraiser at Clatterbridge Cancer Charity said: “It’s wonderful to see their enthusiasm for making a difference.
“I hope the event goes brilliantly, and we’re so grateful for your support in helping us transform cancer care. Best of luck – we can’t wait to hear all about it.”
The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity supports one of the UK’s leading cancer centres, which provides specialist cancer treatment across Cheshire and Merseyside.
The money raised from the students’ event will help to fund research, innovations, equipment and care.
Tickets cost £15 per person, including a welcome drink and a line of raffle tickets.
Time slots can be booked online.
