John Roach (Green Party)

I live in Whitby and have worked for many years in and around Ellesmere Port as a social housing manager.

In February, I spoke on behalf of hundreds of Whitby residents at a public meeting on the hydrogen village trial.

Residents have had to pull together to get independent information, and shout from the rooftops to be heard.

I have worked hard to give a voice to residents who oppose the Hydrogen trial. This has lead to residents being given the right to opt out of the trial.

People have said how much they’ve appreciated someone listening to their issues and concerns on the doorstep, acting on them and getting things done.

Peter Rooney (Labour)

I live locally and I have spent the majority of my life in our town.

I worked for the NHS for 25 years and more recently I have been working for a charity, supporting families in need.

I love Whitby, it’s such a great place to live. I am standing for election again because I enjoy helping people who are struggling and I want to do my bit for our community.

I’m always reporting fly-tipping and asking for graffiti to be removed because it brings our area down and I don’t want that.

These are the streets where I grew up and I want to make a positive difference to the lives of local people who live here, so I hope you will re-elect me on Thursday 4th May.

Luke Sharples (Conservatives)

Nothing submitted.
