Hugo Deynem (Conservatives)
I am married to Deb with three children. I work for an international renewables company, having previously run a number of SMEs.
I was first elected as a councillor on the former Chester City Council and I have since been pleased to serve as a councillor on the Cheshire West and Chester Council for a combined period of over 25 years.
During this time I have chaired and served on numerous groups and committees such as the localities scrutiny board, was my party’s spokesperson on the standards committee and a chair on the Public Rights of Way Committee.
I was also previously member champion for climate change for the authority.
I have a broad experience in planning and highways matters having sat as a committee member of both and was a previous lord mayor of Chester.
Julie Dilworth (Labour)
Nothing submitted.

Audrey Griffiths (Liberal Democrats)
I have lived in Kingsley with my husband for 27 years, we have three children and five grandchildren.
We enjoy nature and have been beekeepers for the last 11 years.
As a retired nurse I am particularly alarmed by what is happening to the NHS and the social services.
Although I accept that the pandemic has taken its toll on these services, I do not accept that it is the full story.
Apart from the many issues relating to the NHS, on which local government has limited say, there is a bottle neck that prevents an efficient working link between the NHS and social services and this is an area where the local government may have some influence.
If I am elected, I will do my best to argue for an improved infrastructure for all areas of the social services and that this should be adequately funded so that we are provided with a high standard of care.
So Cheshire remains proudly non-partisan and has provided the same opportunity to all parties and independent candidates.
