Voters in Rudheath can select one candidate to represent them on Cheshire West and Chester Council.
Rudheath candidates:
- Olwyn Dean (Labour)
- Griff Griffiths (Liberal Democrats)
- Helen Treeby (Conservatives)

Olwyn Dean (Labour)
I can trace my family in Northwich back for 400 years and six generations have lived in Rudheath, so you could say the area is in my DNA.
I have served as a Rudheath parish councillor, as chair of the Friends of Griffiths Park, and as a member of the PTA at Rudheath Primary Academy.
I am passionate about Rudheath and in making our village the best it can be for future generations.
As a former college lecturer I know what a difference it can make to people’s lives if they can access courses close to home.
Improving standards of education ultimately provides opportunities for improving job prospects which then improves standards of living and this will be a key priority for me in the coming years.
People talk about an area having problems but I don’t see problems, I see opportunities for change!

Griff Griffiths (Liberal Democrats)
I have lived in this area of West Cheshire for 27 years. I am married and have three children and five grandchildren.
I have always been interested in nature and since retiring I have taken up the hobby of beekeeping.
I served as a parish councillor for five years, from 2010 to 2015. My main interests are the environment and energy security.
We need clean rivers, lakes and canals for our children and for diversity – not to mention to support tourism.
Locally we should support the work done at Westminster by Lib Dem MPs.
I would also advocate that PV panels should be on every new build, and if elected this is something that I would support along with any other green initiatives that are environmentally sound.
Helen Treeby (Conservatives)
Nothing submitted.
So Cheshire remains proudly non-partisan and has provided the same opportunity to all parties and independent candidates.
