Tom Barker (Green Party)

Nothing submitted.

Matt Carter (Labour)

I love our city. I’m excited by the opportunity to represent Handbridge Park on the council.

As a housing officer for a social landlord, I have seen first hand the impact of the economic mess our country finds itself in.

I have met people who are literally having to choose between eating, or to heat their homes. This cannot go on.

In the meantime, I want to help people through this challenging time.

So whether it’s issues caused by the cost of living, or frustrations over roads, verges, trees or anti-social behaviour, I will be a listening ear and solution focused.

Razia Daniels (Conservatives)

It has been a huge honour and a privilege to represent Handbridge Park Ward for the last 16 years.

I have campaigned for various great causes over the years: saving the Post Office, saving the green belt, the repair of Chester City Walls, ‘Free After Three’ parking, zebra crossings – to name but a few.

My priorities are keeping council tax as low as possible, regular maintenance of public areas, increasing medical and school provision, improving Westminster Park cafe and toilet facilities and Chester Western Relief Road.

If re-elected I promise to continue to work tirelessly to ensure we get the basics right to make our ward a greener, cleaner and safer place to live.

Michael Mitchell (Labour)

I care about people. I work at the local parish centre and day in, day out, I see the importance of community and the value of events and activities which bring people together.

Across the country we are seeing vital community facilities being closed due to budget cuts, but here in Westminster Park, Hough Green, Saltney and Handbridge, we still have great parks and community facilities.

I will always stand up for these places because I know they are more than just buildings or green spaces – they are the centres of our communities and they must be protected.

Sarah Roberts (Liberal Democrats)

I was born and raised in Chester, and now live in Westminster Park with my two children.

I work part time as a data analyst for a company based on the Chester Business Park and would love the opportunity to represent Handbridge Park Ward as a councillor.

Jonathan Rule (Liberal Democrats)

I am a barrister with 30 years experience and I’m also an occasional piano player.

I have been a resident in Handbridge Park ward for 18 years. I understand well the priorities and concerns of the local residents.

I have served as a Liberal Democrat councillor and know the amount of work that goes into the role.

I will campaign to clean up our river, and oppose 5G masts being erected in densely populated areas.

Neil Sullivan (Conservatives)

I am standing for re-election to Handbridge Park ward, which I have represented since 2011.

I am a qualified mechanical engineer and run a small family-owned ceramics business with a factory in Wrexham employing 15 staff.

I am the Conservative finance spokesman

My priorities are to help residents with day-to-day issues as well as contributing to an efficiently run council.

As a Chester resident I want to see Chester restored to be once again a must-visit city and to retaining and enhancing its many unique features.

I live in the ward and enjoy contact with ward residents on a regular basis.

Our monthly street surgeries held every month for the last 12 years are really well established
