Uche John (Conservatives)
I have lived in Broken Cross for the last three years.
I am a graduate of medicine from Ukraine and also a published author with Author House UK and self published author on Amazon as well.
I am highly passionate about leadership and service to humanity.
While in Ukraine prior to moving to the UK, I served in different leadership capacities (church, political and in the community).
I equally founded a charity organisation known as self discovery organisation which has provided financial help to indigent children in Nigeria who can’t afford basic tuition.
The organisation has also paid medical bills for a few individuals who couldn’t afford it.
I believe in standing up for others and being a strong and active voice for people hence my desire to run for council elections to be that strong voice in the council for the residents of Broken Cross.

Gareth Jones (Conservatives)
I am married with two children and live in Broken Cross. My work life is varied as I am self-employed, and this gives me flexibility.
I have various interests but mainly the community. It was an honour and a privilege to have been elected in 2015 as a town councillor, I worked hard for the town.
My attendance at meetings over the four years was 97%. As a town councillor I was involved in various projects also speaking at planning meetings and Cheshire East Council meetings.
I volunteered at the Macclesfield Football Club for over 10 years until they went into administration.
I have never been afraid to get involved. I believe in relationship building and putting 100% effort into everything I do; this has worked for me all my life.
Macclesfield is fantastic and unique place – it has so much to offer, now and in the future.

Judy Snowball (Labour)
I spent 20 years in the legal profession in the voluntary sector and private practice as a solicitor.
The importance of justice and representing those want their voices heard has always been central to my values.
I have always been an active member of local organisations – including the local residents’ association and the patient participation forum at the local GP practice.
I have recently become a governor of Broken Cross Primary Academy and Nursery, and I spent two years as a Bollington town councillor.
If elected to represent Broken Cross and Upton at Cheshire East Council, I will prioritise residents’ concerns about planning and town development and the protection of our vital green spaces and biodiversity, including at Danes Moss.
I am also keen to protect our public transport networks and to support young people who are facing a challenging future.
Rob Vernon (Labour)
