Alderley and Wilmslow Musical Theatre Company is gearing up for its main show of 2018, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
The company is proud to have been chosen as only one of only a handful of amateur societies in the country to be allowed to perform Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
It has never been performed by an adult company on an amateur stage before, and has been released to AWMTC in celebration of its 50th anniversary.
The show will run between 6th and 10th November 2018 at the Evans Theatre in Wilmslow Leisure Centre.
The high-spirited musical is a classic Biblical story of love and redemption in ancient times, as favoured son Joseph, with his coat of many colours, becomes exiled by his jealous brothers.
He then finds his true calling in the strange new land of Egypt while coming to grips with the power of lies and injustice.
Many people will have seen it played by youngsters, or even had the privilege of seeing it in the West End, but this is the first year it will ever have been performed by an adult amateur society – and it looks set to be an amazing show.
