Shares

We’ve asked all of the candidates standing for election to Cheshire West and Chester Council to provide our readers with a short introduction to themselves.

We’ll publish these daily for all 45 council wards (in alphabetical order) in the build up to the local elections on 4th May 2023.

You can view all of the Cheshire West and Chester Council candidate submissions together by clicking here.

Listed below are all of the candidates seeking your vote in the Netherpool ward.

Voters in Netherpool can select three candidates to represent them on Cheshire West and Chester Council.

Netherpool candidates:

  • Katie Kendrick (Labour)
  • Rosemare Quinn (Liberal Democrats)
  • Richard Soper (Conservatives)

Katie Kendrick (Labour)

I care passionately about where we live. I love Netherpool and it is my home, where I raise my family.

I am a paediatric nurse and have seen first hand the devastating impact of government cuts on our NHS.

As your councillor I will be a strong voice, fighting for better access to health services, particularly child and adolescent mental health services.

Our children deserve so much better, early intervention is crucial.

I founded the National Leasehold Campaign and have worked relentlessly to end this outdated system, which affects some residents in Netherpool.

Too many of us have been left in a grossly unfair situation. I will not stop fighting until everyone is re-leased.

I will be so proud to represent you on the council and hope you can support me on Thursday 4th May.

Rosemare Quinn (Liberal Democrats)

Nothing submitted.

Richard Soper (Conservatives)

I have lived in Little Sutton for 24 years and am standing to represent Netherpool ward.

I knows I am probably older than the average candidate, but make no apology for that.

I can claim to understand experiences of local residents throughout their lives, from being a student to bringing up a family and preparing for retirement.

My career in information technology has helped me understand the effects of technological change on older people, who sometimes need help to keep pace.

If elected, I would prioritise practical solutions to local problems, such as parking around shops and making public transport more accessible.
