A new series of live music events is due to be launched as part of Stoke-on-Trent’s centenary celebrations next year.
They will take place at the Trentham estate over three nights on 29th, 30th and 31st May 2025.
The concerts – known as At Trentham – will be one of the highlights of the Stoke 100 celebrations, marking the 100th anniversary of Stoke-on-Trent being granted city status by King George V.
A year-long programme of events across Stoke-on-Trent will bring together businesses, the community and the voluntary sector to celebrate the city’s heritage and its ambitions for the future.
Alastair Budd, senior director at Trentham, said: “Stoke-on-Trent’s centenary is a remarkable milestone, and we’re honoured to join the city and its communities in celebrating its heritage, achievements, and vibrant future.
“With incredible acts leading the lineup, we’re sure this event will be an unforgettable weekend for attendees across the region.”
Acts are yet to be announced – but bosses confirmed the concert series would replace its usual Trentham Live events for 2025.
The wider 725-acre Trentham estate was once owned by the Dukes of Sutherland, and has undergone a massive regeneration programme since 2003.
Its famous gardens include a beautiful mile-long route around its iconic lake, originally laid out by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown in the 18th century.
It is also home to a garden centre and shopping village as well as Trentham Monkey Forest.
Trentham boasts extensive woodlands, which are part of a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
The estate also provides grazing for wild black fallow deer and has recently seen the reintroduction of endangered water voles as well as a family of beavers.
