Cheshire chocolatier Oliver Dunn is about to set a Guinness World Record.
What’s remarkable for anyone who knows Oli The Choc, however, is that this will actually be his first world record attempt!
Sadly for chocolate lovers across Cheshire he’s not going to be creating the world’s biggest chocolate bar on this occasion (but… watch this space, we’re fairly certain he’s just getting warmed up with this one!)
Oli has teamed up with The Seashell Trust to bring fans and fundraisers a fantastic virtual treat which will see participants making their very own chocolate lollies and making history at the same time.
Mr Choc was due to take part in a ballroom dancing fundraiser, Strictly Seashell, to raise funds for the Cheadle Hulme-based charity but Covid-19 restrictions put a halt to this.
Instead, Oli will be hosting the world’s biggest ever virtual chocolate party and he’s recruiting participants right now!
It’s all happening on Saturday 5th December.
To achieve a world record, more than 500 people need to join in.
Everyone taking part has to purchase a chocolate-making kit beforehand in order to to join in the fun and 50% of the money raised will be going the The Seashell Trust.
Kits cost £15 and cash raised will help the charity support children with communication and learning difficulties in the Cheadle Hulme area.
Oli said: “It’s an incredible charity, and a great cause.
“Everyone taking part will get exclusive access to the live chocolate party and they’ll get a badge and a certificate if we’re successful.
“It’s going to be loads and loads of fun!”
