If you’re going to break the law (and clearly we recommend that you don’t) then you’d usually be minded to steer clear of the police whilst doing so.
That wasn’t how things turned out for one driver in Northwich this weekend, however, who drove about as close as physically possible to delivering themselves directly into police custody.
Police shared images of a red vehicle crashed just a few metres from the front door of Northwich Police Station, accompanied by debris from the smash.
The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday (27th March) and the driver was subsequently arrested and later provided two positive samples of breath.
An admin on the force’s Facebook page quipped: “If you do drink and drive, please be so kind to hand yourselves in like this chap.”
