We’ll publish these daily for all 52 council wards (in alphabetical order) in the build up to the local elections on 4th May 2023.

Anthony Harrison (Conservatives)
I am the local conservative candidate for Chelford Ward.
I am a qualified accountant and serving captain with British Army Reserves, and I bring to the table two terms of experience as a councillor.
Coming from a farming family, I am passionate about the rural communities of Chelford.
I have three main priorities: increasing road safety and rural road conditions, fighting against over development and supporting youth education and services in all schools across the ward.
I am keen to support local community groups and charities by setting up a community grant scheme with the allowance I will receive for serving as a Cheshire East councillor, ensuring change can be delivered in all of Chelford’s parishes.

Nick Speakman (Green Party)
I grew up in North-Cheshire and have lived in the Chelford Ward for 18 years.
Currently a parish councillor, I am committed to protecting natural habitats, supporting local food producers, and promoting clean energy solutions such as wind, solar, and heat-pumps.
These technologies along with improved insulation can reduce both our energy and council tax bills.
I have valuable experience in business, having created and run a successful company until retiring six years ago.
I aim to use my problem-solving and leadership skills to bring new and fresh ideas to Cheshire East and work towards a sustainable future for all.
