Beverley Knight has been revealed as the latest artist on this year’s Forest Live line up.
The soul and R&B artist – known for her hit singles Greatest Day, Get Up, Should Woulda Coulda and Come as You Are – will be supporting Gary Barlow at Delamere Forest on 14th June, bosses have announced.
Knight released her debut album The B-Funk in 1995 and has since gone on to win an Olivier Award and three MOBOs.
She was awarded an MBE in 2007 for services to British music and charity.
As well as this, she has been nominated three times in the best female artist category at the Brit Awards and received a nomination for a best album Mercury Prize.
Last year she also won the Outstanding Contribution to Diversity Award at the European Diversity Awards.
With nine studio albums under her belt, Knight has also made a name for herself on the West End too – with performances in musicals including The Bodyguard, Cats and Sister Act.
This spring she will feature as Sister Rosetta Tharpe in her first professional theatre play, Marie and Rosetta.
Knight joins a slate of renowned artists announced performing as part of Forestry England’s Forest Live shows this year.
Other artists taking to the stage at woodland venues around the country include Sting, Busted, McFly, Snow Patrol, Blossoms and The Script.
