The annual Macclesfield Castle Rotary Swimathon next takes place on Sunday 17th March 2019 at Macclesfield Leisure Centre on Priory Lane.
Alec Johnston, of the Macclesfield Castle Rotary Club, commented: “This is your opportunity to raise funds for your charity, and Rotary charities without the hassle of organising.”
Alec urged potential swimmers to “just come along and have a whale of a time!”
The event will be the 20th annual Macclesfield Castle Rotary swimathon where fundraising is split 50/50 between participants’ good causes and the local Rotary’s chosen causes.
Teams of 4-6 swimmers are encouraged to enter and swim for 45 minutes to raise funds for their chosen charities along with those selected by the Rotary group.
In previous years money has been raised for Scouts, Guides, Age UK Macclesfield, East Cheshire Hospice, School PTA groups, cancer charities and many more.
