Alderley Edge In Bloom is hoping to raise £2,000 to help buy more planters and litter picking equipment for the village-wide volunteer group.
At the time of writing, the group has already reached £275 in funds pledged.
Alderley Edge in Bloom is a local community group, comprised entirely of volunteers, dedicated to making Alderley Edge a greener and more beautiful place.
The group’s efforts have already won praise from locals and visitors alike – with year-round plant displays and and litter picking activities taking place on a regular basis.
The Alderley Edge In Bloom volunteers also maintain a community allotment and donate vegetable produce to a village luncheon club and a local church foodbank.
“Our ethos is to improve the parish for the benefit of all,” explained Alderley Edge In Bloom member Kelvin briggs.
He said the aim is “to enhance community participation and cohesion and to enthuse young people of the village with a love of gardening and respect for our environment.”
Kelvin added: “We are looking to raise funds to buy more planters, plants and litter picking equipment. Please help us with a donation or why come and join in our activities.”
