It has been my privilege to represent Middlewich for eight years and as a borough councillor for four years.
A retired teacher, I have been actively involved with helping young people and families in these difficult times – as vice chair of the children’s committee, being a ‘corporate parent’ and sitting on the foster panel.
I am also a governor at Sandbach School and Sir John Deane’s. I love this work which enables me to use my teaching experience on behalf of the community.
I am proud of the improvement in antisocial behaviour in our town, largely brought about by collaboration with Cheshire East Council’s youth support workers.
We have a flourishing youth club at which I am the resident cook and washer up.
I have also put my energies into bringing much needed services into Middlewich at our monthly Community Hub where residents get free, expert advice on their doorstep.

Michael Hunter (Labour)
I have been a town and borough councillor for over 30 years, on and off.
Over the last four years I have focussed on defending the town from over-development and bringing new infrastructure to Middlewich.
I successfully saw off a threat from Cheshire East Council to impose parking charges and I am working to bring our car parks under town council control.
I am a former ‘Potbank’ worker and I’m born and bred in Middlewich. I am seeking your support to be re-elected as a borough councillor.

Cerys Jones (Green Party)
I have lived in Cheshire East for 25 years of my life, 23 of those in Middlewich.
I’m a mum of two and work part time as a solicitor, representing severely injured military service personnel and veterans.
I am motivated by advocating for others. In my professional life I get to grips with complex issues, support vulnerable people through the litigation process, problem solve, negotiate and budget, all of which I can utilise to proficiently represent Middlewich and Cheshire East residents.
In my spare time I enjoy fundraising for charity and recently organised a sponsored cold water swim. I enjoy comedy gigs, walking, swimming and am learning to grow my own fruit and veg.
I would urge Middlewich residents to insist Cheshire East Council prioritise green conscious policies by using just one of their votes to vote Green on 4th May.
Garnet Marshall (independent)

Jonathan Parry (Labour)
I am a graphics designer and have lived in the town for 18 years. I’m seeking to be re-elected as your borough councillor.
I have been a town councillor for seven years and a borough councillor for four years.
In that time I have focussed on tackling the pothole crisis and improving highway maintenance, ensuring that the council promptly responds to issues reported on the ‘Fix My Street’ website.
I successfully led the campaign to save Middlewich tip.
So Cheshire remains proudly non-partisan and has provided the same opportunity to all parties and independent candidates.
