Sue Addison (Labour)
I have lived in Knutsford for over 35 years and my four children all attended local primary schools and Knutsford Academy.
I’m a retired pharmacist – I ran my own pharmacy in Warrington for 10 years and after then worked at Mannings Chemist and several other pharmacies in the area.
I currently do voluntary work with refugees in the Knutsford area, teaching English and helping them adapt to life in the UK.
I also deliver meals on wheels in the town and help at the food bank.
I have always been interested in politics at local, national and international levels and I feel now is the time to take action and represent the people of Knutsford as their councillor at Cheshire East Council.

Stewart Gardiner (Conservatives)
After 12 years as a councillor on Cheshire East Council some might argue that it is time for me to call it a day, but I still believe that I have more to give.
There is always something that can be improved upon always another local cause that requires support.
I have learned so much over my time as a councillor and if the people of Knutsford wish it, I want to use that experience to help make sure that Cheshire East Council is the best it can be using all the tools available and harnessing the skills of all elected members, and the teams of officers, to the benefit of all its residents.
I am proud of what I have helped to achieve so far, but I want to do more and hope the people of Knutsford will give me the opportunity to do so.

Kevin Harkin (Labour)
Born in Crewe, I was brought up in Northern Ireland, graduating in chemical engineering from Queen’s University of Belfast.
Having worked in various manufacturing industries since then, I am currently a supply chain manager for a pharmaceutical company.
In my spare time I have been a football referee for many years in the Cheshire leagues, acted as patient advocate for St John’s Ambulance service during the pandemic vaccination programme and also written a book.
Having lived in Knutsford for 23 years, I joined the Labour party in 2019 and have acted as vice-. chair of the Tatton CLP for the last three years, recently stepping aside to concentrate on this campaign.

Amanda Iremonger (Green Party)
I was born in Cheshire and now live in Knutsford where I relish the opportunity to give back to my community.
I am co-secretary of the Green Party locally, and volunteer for Citizens Advice and for an addiction recovery service.
I have been campaigning ahead of the May elections and am finding that plans to build houses on ancient woodlands and local wildlife sites are causing great concern.
It’s time to transform Cheshire East towards a more sustainable future and our council’s planning needs to reflect this.
In addition, from my work in Citizens Advice, I know we need to do more for those struggling with this government’s hostile attitude to those in need.

April Johnson (independent)
I’m a new independent Knutsford town councillor taking office this May. I’m also standing as your independent candidate for Cheshire East Council in the election.
Without party allegiance, and no political agenda, I represent the people of Knutsford.
As council tax charges rise it’s imperative that we are getting best value for money here in Knutsford.
I hope to work with Cheshire East Council to improve services for the benefit of Knutsford and its surrounds.
Please lend me your vote on 4th May. Your vote will make a huge difference to our town.

Rex Mears (independent)
I’m standing as an independent candidate for Knutsford.
I’m a father of four successful grown-up children, with two grandchildren. I work in the health industry as a device design engineer.
Your councillors need to be a demonstrable voice for the residents of Knutsford – crucial as most local authority powers rest with Cheshire East Council.
I want to go to Cheshire East Council with a credible mandate. I’m standing without deference to party politics.
I look forward to helping realise your ambitions for the town and ensuring that changes are cost effective and beneficial for all.
So Cheshire remains proudly non-partisan and has provided the same opportunity to all parties and independent candidates.
