Patrick Eakin (Liberal Democrats)

These elections will shape the council policies for the next four years and beyond.

My belief is that we need councillors that put the environment and our wellbeing first.

As a local GP, I want everyone to have the opportunity to live a healthy and active life.

Like many, I have a young family, and I believe we have a duty to conserve and nurture the environment for future generations.

I have lived in Frodsham for eight years now, and I have also been a town councillor for the last two years.

In that time, I have come to understand some of its wonderful charm that has led me to call it home, but also some of the problems.

This is why I am standing, and why I hope you will consider me as your candidate for Cheshire West and Chester Council for the next four years.

Michael Garvey (Labour)

Locally the Labour Party has protected public services from a decade of Conservative cuts and misery.

Across the country children’s centres, leisure centres, libraries and community centres have closed. Not here, we’re investing in them.

I have lived in this area for 25 years and had a career in law enforcement for over 40 years.

I am passionate about Frodsham, it is where I raised my children and where I am involved in a variety of community groups which work hard to make our area an even better place to live.

I am ambitious for Frodsham and will always fight for what’s best for our town.

Jason Moorcroft (Reform UK)

I have grown up and raised my family in Frodsham.  I feel very fortunate and privileged to have grown up in such a wonderful place within a beautiful community.

I am passionate about the town and want to re-establish Frodsham as a prosperous area where the community have strong moral values, pride and live in a welcoming environment.

Over the last few years the standards of service by the council – for caring for the elderly and ill, provisions for the young, road maintenance and general upkeep – have slipped to astonishingly poor levels.

I want to be Frodsham’s voice to make the difference. I want to raise the bar of acceptability so that we challenge what isn’t right and make changes to benefit us all.

Lynn Riley (Conservatives)

Frodsham has been my home for 38 years – it’s where I’ve raised our family, made lifelong friends and been privileged to represent you at Cheshire West and Chester Council (CWAC).

Labour has run the council since 2015 and clearly does not share our passion and pride for this amazing town with such community spirit.

Our town looks untidy, our roads are a disgrace and the long-promised funding for Frodsham’s facilities has failed to arrive.

I believe there is a better way, a future with less CWAC and more community.

So, this election, please vote for a team with a plan that puts Frodsham in the driving seat for what our town needs and wants.

Ross Sibson (Liberal Democrats)

My focus is healthcare, spending 30 years working for major private and public organisations in the sector.

I was biological manager for the UK Human Genome Project, trustee for NWCRF and director of research for Clatterbridge Cancer Research Trust, pioneering genetic approaches towards better patient outcomes.

11 years ago my wife suffered a life changing medical episode leaving me as carer for her and our young daughter.

Exposed to the full benefits and pitfalls of the health care and social support systems as an active trustee for the charity, HIP (Head Injured People in Cheshire), I have started to put back into society what it has given us.

Local for 25 years, this has given me significant insight into care needs in the community and leaves me well equipped to guide and help others, something I would continue to do more widely If elected as councillor for Frodsham.

Lucy Summer (Labour)

We’re all paying the price for the Conservatives’ political choices.

Rising inflation, a cost-of-living crisis, a crisis in social care and mental health. The local Conservatives simply don’t have a plan to deal with this. Labour does.

I live in the Waterside area of Frodsham and love raising my young family here.

I am proud to have been involved in a number of successful community projects, including the fight to save Green Gates Park.

I am passionate about traditional Labour values, like decent standards of living, good public services and strong protection for the environment.

Sara Wakefield (Conservatives)

Having moved to Frodsham 25 years ago I have always loved its atmosphere, independent shops, and the friendly people that make our town such a lovely place to live.

I have however noticed the lack of investment in our town over recent years, so I’ve put my name forward to be elected so that I can fight for a fair deal for Frodsham.

I have been privileged to have been mayor of our great town, and will use this experience to represent Frodsham at the next level on our borough council.

Christine Webber (Green Party)

Nothing submitted.
