Cinema on The Carrs in Wilmslow will no longer be taking place as originally scheduled later this year.
The news comes as event organisers cancel or postpone numerous other events across the area due to the global outbreak of Covid-19 coronavirus.
Cllr Martin Watkins, chairman of Wilmslow Town Council, said: “With government advice recommending people to minimise their social contact and the government predicting that the peak of the outbreak is likely to be in late May or early June, the decision has been taken to cancel the event that had been scheduled for 6 June 2020.”
Wilmslow Town Council will consider, at a later date, if the event will be held in 2021.
