Whilst most parts of the country have been lamenting the state of flooded roads and burst rivers over the past few weeks, Alderley Edge’s Josh Uddin decided there was a great opportunity this weekend to try out a spot of wakeboarding in Wilmslow.
Yes, you read that correctly – wakeboarding. In Wilmslow. No, not Abersoch. Wilmslow.
Josh took to the swollen River Bollin and used a motorised winch for his stunt, which was captured in a six-second video posted to the Facebook group Wilmslow Community, along with the caption ‘Just a bit of wakeboarding on the River Bollin’ to the amusement of many of the group’s members.
It goes without saying, we advise everyone to take care in/around water – especially during flooding, when hidden obstacles present additional danger.
