A long-established equestrian event is returning with big plans for 2023 and organisers say bookings for trade stands will soon be open.
The Cheshire Horse Show will be held on Monday 29th May 2023 at Tabley Park near Knutsford.
The show is a celebration of all things equestrian, and combines top showing and competition with an entertainment-filled family event.
To help support traders, organisers have taken the decision to offer trade stands at 2022 prices and applications will be available to download from the show website in mid-January.
Competition
With a heritage stretching back for over 130 years The Cheshire Horse Show is the largest one-day horse show in the country and is renowned for the wide range of showing and show jumping classes on offer which represent the diversity of the equine world.
With over 1,500 horses competing every year there is something to appeal to everyone – from the majestic Shires and cute Shetlands, to the crowd-pleasing driving classes and the high-octane thrills of the show jumping rings which will see top riders from across the country competing for the ribbons and to qualify for Horse of the Year Show.
On a more frivolous note, the famous fancy dress class is always highly anticipated by visitors.
With such a variety of classes on offer, the show is guaranteed to attract more competitors and spectators than ever before.
Family fun
Not only does The Cheshire Horse Show offer a day of outstanding competition, but also a wide range of attractions on offer for the entire family to enjoy.
Visitors can indulge in delicious artisan treats from the farmer’s market; select unique gifts from the independent trade stands; delight in farriery displays and have fun on the fairground rides.
There is also a novelty dog show to ensure that no four-legged friends are left out of the action!
Sponsorship
Any businesses who feel they may benefit from trade stand or sponsorship opportunities at the show are invited to contact The Cheshire Horse Show via the website.
History
The Cheshire Horse Show was originally known as The Warrington Horse Show. For more than 130 years this unique show was held in the Warrington area.
The move to Tabley in 2013 saw the event opened up to a much wider audience of spectators. To reflect this the show’s name was changed to The Cheshire Horse Show.
The Cheshire Horse Show is run on behalf of the Warrington Horse Society, a charity which distributes profits from the show to animal and equestrian-related organisations.
