Tatton MP Esther McVey will hold a series of informal drop in sessions at rural locations as Parliament commences it summer break.
People will have the chance to quiz their MP on local or national issues, have a chat over a cup of tea or coffee, or book a further appointment to discuss any concerns.
Ms McVey said: “These drop in sessions are a great opportunity for me to meet more people and hopefully see some familiar faces.
“Last summer I was setting up my office so it was more difficult to hold as many events as I would have liked, so I am really looking forward to being able to spend this time in recess in our beautiful constituency getting to know lots more people.”
MPs return from Westminster to their constituencies for the summer recess at the end of July and are not expected back in London until early September.
The sessions will be held in village pubs in rural parts of the Tatton constituency where any constituent is welcome to attend. No booking is necessary.
Ms McVey explained: “I want to ensure everyone who wants to talk to me or meet me can and I understand it can be more difficult for some people living in more rural parts and that is why I have decided to do the first drop in sessions in these areas.
She added: “The work does not stop in the summer, there is a lot to do in the constituency, lots of meetings and visits arranged in addition to these sessions and I hope to see as many people as possible for a chat.”
