A specialist independent retailer in Northwich is working hard to bring the ‘buzz’ back to its corner of the high street.
A business which prides itself on its old fashioned values, Northwich Art Shop’s Grand Day Out event takes place on Saturday 7th July at Memorial Court in Northwich, and is the latest community-focused innovation from the store’s owner Phil Bower.
Phil took over Northwich Art Shop in 2014 and is proud to continue serving and supporting the artistic community of mid-Cheshire.
The Grand Day Out is modelled on successful fairs held all over the country that focus on celebrating the mix of talent that exists in the local community.
Providing a showcase for local professional and amateur artists and community groups, Grand Day Out aims showcase the variety of work that comes out of mid-Cheshire and welcomes several artists who’ve worked and exhibited internationally.
Phil said: “We have a wide range of art forms on display, from painters, woodturner and photographers to calligraphers and mosaicists.
“We are also pleased to welcome a full programme of demonstrators skilled in the art of ‘inspiring and enabling’.”

Grand Day Out is being well supported by national brands including Winsor & Newton, Derwent, Tombow and Faber-Castell.
Phil added his thanks to local supporters and volunteers too, including Visual Arts Cheshire and the Northwich Business Improvement District team.
