In line with Waitrose’s recent announcement that it would be introducing new measures for NHS workers, the brand’s Alderley Edge store has set up a dedicated area for those keeping our nation safe.
A spokesperson explained: “We have set up an area in branch for NHS staff to have some access to key shopping lines.
“This will be added to as and when stock arrives. They just have to show their NHS ID at the welcome desk.
“This happening in every Waitrose & Partners in the country. We want as many NHS personnel as possible to know about it.”
NHS staff are being offered a priority service in order to make sure they stay healthy and well-fed for the benefit of us all.
Store trading hours have now been reduced – with a new closing time of 8pm, Monday to Saturday.
