Staffordshire’s emergency services leaders have been paying their respects, following the death of Her Majesty The Queen.

PFCC Ben Adams said: “This is a profoundly sad time for our nation as we mourn the death of Her Majesty The Queen, and I know that all of our communities will be feeling a deep sense of loss at the news.
“I join the people of Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent in remembering Her Majesty The Queen’s lifetime of public service, and offer my most sincere condolences to all members of the royal family.”

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said they join the country in mourning the death of Her Majesty The Queen.
As a mark of respect, flags at fire stations will fly at half-mast in tribute.
