Businesses urged to make use of government-funded courses

Independent businesses based in Shropshire are being urged to make the most of government funding for courses to upskill their teams.

Amanda Gosling, UKSPF Shropshire project manager, said: “The courses range from one-day to five-day active leadership training, and also include the well-recognised PRINCE qualification.

“Funding is only available until February 2025 so it’s vital that every eligible business that’s interested registers and books their place as soon as possible.”

Eligible businesses will be independent, small-medium sized and be based in the Shropshire Council local authority area, and not already be in receipt of or subsidised by any other UK government funds.

Charities, financial services, and companies involved in primary food production or gambling are not eligible.

The project is designed to help businesses across Shropshire maximise their skills, enhance expertise, and drive economic business growth across the region.

Businesses do not need to be a member of Shropshire Chamber of Commerce to take part.
