The following areas are set to move into higher Covid-19 tiers from 00:01 on 31/12/20.
New tier four areas:
– Cheshire (Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, Warrington)
– Derbyshire (Derby, Amber Valley, South Derbyshire, Bolsover, North East Derbyshire, Chesterfield, Erewash, Derbyshire Dales, High Peak)
– Staffordshire (East Staffordshire, Stafford, South Staffordshire, Cannock Chase, Lichfield, Staffordshire Moorlands, Newcastle under Lyme, Tamworth, Stoke-on-Trent)
– Greater Manchester (Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford, Wigan)
New tier three areas:
– Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin
– Liverpool City Region (Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, Wirral, St Helens)
