Shares

Elizabethan gardens are the subject of a seminar at Nantwich Museum this November.

Evoking a golden age in garden history, the event is being organised by the Nantwich Walled Garden Society in collaboration with Nantwich Museum on Saturday 10th November.

There will be four illustrated talks.

Commencing at 1.30pm, Shirley Evans will speak on ‘Elizabethan Garden Design’, to be followed by the ‘History of Bees and Beekeeping’ presented by Fiona Swain.

Sue Clarke will then introduce ‘Herbs and Their Uses’ and the afternoon will conclude with a talk by Graham Dodd about John Gerard, the famous herbalist who was born in Nantwich.

The charge is £7.50 per person including refreshments, with proceeds being shared between the Nantwich Walled Garden Society and Nantwich Museum.

Tickets are available from the museum.
