The Bedfordshire flag
Today (28th November) is Bedfordshire Day, although many in the county may never have heard of it.
Don’t worry, it isn’t an ancient tradition – it was started in 2015 – and we’re one of only a handful of counties to have our own official ‘day’.
Neighbouring Buckinghamshire celebrates their county day on 29th July, and Northamptonshire celebrates theirs on 25th October.
The date of our ‘Bedfordshire Day’ was decided by a public vote, organised by The Friends of Bedfordshire society.
Did you do anything special to mark our county day? Did you even know we had one?
What sort of event would you like to see organised to help us celebrate our county’s heritage?
