Head to Kenilworth Castle this February half term to get hands-on with history!

Families can meet legends from the past and enrol in archery school, before exploring the breath-taking ruins of the Warwickshire castle.

Kenilworth Castle has seen more than its fair share of history, and this month families can join a whole host of characters from the past for historical hijinks and hands-on fun.

Visitors to the Elizabethan castle this half term holiday will be treated to performances incorporating the very best of Tudor history, including stories of Henry VIII and his daughter Elizabeth I who granted Kenilworth to her ‘favourite’, Robert Dudley.

There will also be performances dedicated to local legend, Robin Hood, and the opportunity for children to try their own hand at archery.

English Heritage events manager Ella Harrison said: “Our hands-on history makers event at Kenilworth Castle is the perfect activity to get the family discovering the secrets of a historic site this February half term.

“With lively story telling bringing the castle’s history to life as well as the chance to enrol in archery school, this is the perfect place to have fun and learn more about the history on your doorstep.”

Half term at Kenilworth Castle take place 18th-26th February (10am to 4pm).
