We Are Knutsford – coronavirus support group

Shares

A group of Knutsford residents has set up a support network, in partnership with Knutsford Town Council, to help the town during the nationwide coronavirus lockdown.

The group has launched a dedicated telephone service and recruited an army of volunteers, so that those who need help can be matched with those who are able to provide it.

The initiative, under the banner ‘We Are Knutsford’, is being run to help with:

  • Shopping
  • Dog walking
  • Employer and employee legal advice
  • Signposting to other services
  • Food bank drop-off
  • Collection of prescriptions
  • Someone to speak to if you’re feeling lonely

The associated website (www.weareknutsford.org) also contains useful tips and advice.

Residents can contact the group via the website or call the freephone telephone line on 0800 118 1692 (available 24/7).

They can also email help@weareknutsford.org and join the Knutsford COVID-19 Practical Support Group on Facebook.

In addition, there is a crowdfunding page to help finance the operation. Any surplus funds raised will be donated to the Hope Central food bank based at The Welcome in Knutsford.
