Pecks on Newcastle Road in Brownlow Heath will close in February
Bosses at a restaurant in Cheshire have announced plans to relocate it, after more than 40 years in its current location.
Pecks will move to new premises at the rear of the Lion & Swan, on West Street in Congleton, on 7th February.
The existing venue – on Newcastle Road, Brownlow Heath – will close for the final time on 2nd February.
Pear Hospitality, which runs Pecks, has plans for what they described as an “unapologetically American” venue to take its place, and promised more details to be announced soon.
Meanwhile, staff will be working to ensure a smooth transition, and will be moving to the new venue when it opens its doors next month.

Bosses shared a visualisation of how the new venue will look
“This is a perfect match, as the Rosette accredited culinary delights of Pecks will be suited with our AA 5-star inn,” a spokesperson said.
“Pecks will now offer an exceptional overnight stay to accompany a dining experience you will cherish forever.”
They added: “This is an exciting opportunity for Pecks to renew its unforgettable dining experience with a fresh new restaurant and kitchen.
“Guests can expect the famous Dinner at 8 tasting menu to remain, but will be elevated with new surroundings, atmosphere and overall experience.
“Pecks will continue its exceptionally popular high tea, along with an exquisite Sunday lunch.”

The new Pecks restaurant will be located behind the Lion & Swan in Congleton
They said staff would be in touch with customers who had advanced bookings, and that gift cards would also still be valid at other Pear Hospitality venues – including The Wheatsheaf in Sandbach, Leone in Congleton, The Blue Bell in Smallwood as well as the Lion & Swan in Congleton and Radley & Co in Congleton.
The spokesperson added: “Thank you to our valued guests for supporting Pecks for 40 years, we look forward to welcoming you for many more years to come!”
