This year M&S is putting celebrities (sorry, charities… yep, that’s it… charities) at the heart of its Christmas campaign.
M&S has partnered with nine world-famous actors, who have each added their unmistakable voices to a series of nine festive food ads.
The iconic voiceover cast (see below) have all selected charities close to their hearts which M&S will make a donation on their behalf.
In all, the company is giving £2 million to good causes as part of this year’s Christmas campaign.
The adverts feature the voices of:
- Chiwetel Ejiofor
- Eddie Redmayne
- Gillian Anderson
- Dame Helen Mirren
- Jeremy Irons
- Dame Julie Walters
- Naomie Harris
- Olivia Colman
- Tom Hardy
The series of nine ads kicked off on Friday (6th Nov) with Olivia Colman in the sound booth.
On Olivia’s behalf, M&S will make a donation split between three charities: Anthony Nolan; Back Up; and Tender Education & Arts.
Each subsequent advert will feature the logos of the charities chosen by the actor providing the vocals.
Over the coming weeks (from now until new year), we’ll be treated to Tom Hardy bringing Brussels sprouts to life, Dame Helen Mirren extolling the virtues of rosé prosecco and Chiwetel Ejiofor making mouths water over vegan chocolate torte.
