The Mere Golf Resort & Spa in Knutsford is set to host a charity sportsman’s dinner on Friday 4th October to help raise funds for Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT).

The charity supports ill, disabled and disadvantaged children from the North West.

The evening invites guests to join former England international rugby union player Steve Smith, who will be sharing stories from his time as captain of the England Rugby Union and British Lions teams.

Tickets will also include a three course-meal, half a bottle of wine and comedy from Billy Flywheel.

An auction and raffle will be held for guests to win prizes, with all proceeds going to CAFT.

Commenting on the event, Pippa Watton from CAFT said “This promises to be a fantastic event – a must not just for sports fans but also those who like a fun night out with great food!

“We’re so grateful to The Mere for selecting us as their charity for this event, the money raised will make a huge difference to the children who visit us here at the Adventure Farm.”

The Mere Golf Resort & Spa’s general manager Gary Johnson said: “We are looking forward to hosting the Sportsman’s Dinner.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to raise money for our friends at CAFT and for our guests to enjoy an evening of sport and great entertainment!”.

Tickets for the event are £55 per person and can be purchased directly through The Mere Golf Resort & Spa by calling the events team on 01565 830 155 or by emailing events@themereresort.co.uk.
