A Northwich radio station is hoping to spread some Christmas cheer this December when they hold an evening of seasonal music for local people to join in with.
The event, entitled ‘Carols From Your Garden’, will take place on Friday 4th December from 6pm.
Households across the town are being encouraged to tune in to the Radio Northwich online and take part in the carol singing from their doorsteps, balconies and front gardens.
Those taking part will be able to request their favourite carols and Christmas songs and there will be a co-ordinated light switch-on to kick-start the festivities on streets right around the county.
John Thompson, a partner at Radio Northwich, said: “Christmas should be a joyous time for families and friends to come together and celebrate the festive season.
“Whilst it may not be possible to meet in a traditional way this year, the event will provide an opportunity for families and neighbours to get into the Christmas Spirit as a community.
“We look forward to receiving residents’ favourite Carol requests!”
