A six year old from Northwich has become the face of this year’s Bubble Rush family fun run for St Luke’s Hospice.

A photo of Oliver Rich, a pupil at Sandiway Primary School, is appearing on flyers and posters to publicise the event – as well on the bonnet of a branded car!

The photo, which was taken at last year’s Bubble Rush at Oulton Park, shows Oliver braving the bubbles with his uncle Kevin Rich.

Staff at St Luke’s loved the fun photo so much that they asked if they could use it to promote this year’s event.

Jane Thompson, head of events at the hospice, explained: “The Bubble Rush is such a fantastic family event and we think the photo of Oliver and his uncle really sums up just how much fun it is.”

She added: “We are so excited that Bubble Rush is back for its fourth year. It is hugely popular event that the whole family can take part in, from toddlers to grandparents, and it helps to raise significant amounts of money for St Luke’s.”

This year’s Bubble Rush is taking place once again at Oulton Park Race Circuit on Sunday 22nd April.

Participants can take part in a 2.5km or 5km fun run with various coloured bubble stations to run through along the way. The route is both buggy and wheelchair friendly.

Kevin Rich who joined his nephew Oliver and family at the event last year said: “Oliver and I are really honoured to have our photo used to promote this year’s Bubble Rush. I think it shows just how much fun we had.

“I’d recommend anyone to sign up. You’ll have the greatest fun you can have. You can take all your kids along. We took all our family along and we had a fantastic day all round.”

Entry to Bubble Rush costs £25 for adults and £10 for children and includes a new t-shirt design for 2018, as well as a medal and live entertainment.

There’s also access to the ‘Charity Village’ on offer, which features colourful merchandise and face-painting to get you set for the bubbles, along with refreshment outlets that will also be situated on-site.
