Tasting just as good as they look, these Percy Pig cake jars can be whipped up in a flash for whenever Percy cravings hit!
Ingredients
1 madeira loaf cake, cut lengthways into slices roughly ½ inch thick
Percy Pig dessert sauce
75g butter
130g icing sugar
Pink food colouring
1 teaspoon milk
Bag of Percy Pigs
Method
1. Using a circle cookie cutter or a knife, carefully cut out four circles of madeira cake, roughly 2/2.5 inches in diameter, to fit snugly inside a tall, clean jam jar.
2. In a mixing bowl, use an electric whisk on high, beat the butter and 50g Percy Pig dessert sauce until smooth.
3. Add the icing sugar, a few drops of pink food colouring and the milk, whisking on low at first to incorporate, then high to beat until smooth.
4. In a jar, add your first madeira circle, top with a drizzle of Percy Pig dessert sauce and a generous tablespoon of buttercream.
5. Smooth the buttercream out to level then top with two torn Percy Pig sweets.
6. Repeat four times, finishing with a smooth layer of buttercream. Top with whole Percy Pig sweets.
