Organisers of the Northwich Festival of Arts are on the lookout for artists and creatives to contribute to the annual event which is set to return this summer.

The festival is now in its fourth year, with thousands of people expected to participate in the month-long festival.

Organisers are offering to fund creative individuals and groups to deliver attractions, workshops, classes and performances this July.

Adam Gerrard from Northwich BID, which is covering the cost of the event, said: “There are no limitations on the type of funding applications we want to see coming through.

“We’re really keen to make sure people understand this is open to everyone, even those who may have considered delivering activity but never taken that leap.

“We will support you throughout the process.”

The festival aims to showcase the cultural and artistic talent that exists in the town and surrounding area.

It will also encompass various other events throughout the month of July – such as the Northwich Art Trail, organised by Visual Arts Cheshire.

Phil Bower, from Northwich Art Shop, has celebrated the return of the festival and

He said: “Throughout July we are giving people the opportunity to be creative. It can be fabulous, fun and frustrating in equal measure.

“You don’t need permission to be creative, but sometimes you need something to stimulate and inspire.

“I encourage everyone to get involved, either through delivering an activity or participating in one.”

Successful submissions will be put together to create a month-long programme of activity for town centre visitors to enjoy, including a variety of free-to-attend events.

The deadline for applications is 15th March 2023, with successful applicants set to be notified around the middle of April.
