Construction work is underway on a new addition at Pott Shrigley Church School.
A wood-based adventure play area, where pupils can perfect their balance and improve their climbing skills, is set to be completed and ready to use in January.
It will give pupils a fun and dedicated safe area to explore.
Groundworks for the project have been funded by a grant from the Chester Diocese, with sports premium funding utilised to purchase the play equipment.
The total project will cost around £72,000.
Headteacher Ms Bromley commented: “We’re so excited that the new play area is imminent – it will provide a real area of interest and self-entertainment for the children in all weathers.
“The children are intrigued by the building works and can’t wait to get climbing!”
