A new operator has been appointed to run council leisure centres in Northampton and Daventry.
Everyone Active, which was formed in 197 and now manages leisure facilities and cultural services across England, was award the 10-year contract following a competitive procurement process.
Bosses said they aim to invest in improving facilities across West Northamptonshire when the arrangement comes into force from 1 April 2026.
The company will run Daventry Leisure Centre, Daventry Sports Park, Moulton Leisure Centre, Danes Camp Leisure Centre, Mounts Baths and Lings Forum Leisure Centre.
The agreement will include a programme of modernisation and refurbishment, as part of West Northamptonshire Council’s long-term plan to boost participation in physical activity.
Towcester Centre for Leisure and Brackley Leisure Centre will continue to be operated by Legacy Leisure under an existing contract which runs until 2034.
Everyone Active currently operates Daventry Leisure Centre, Daventry Sports Park and Moulton Leisure Centre and will take on management of the Northampton centres from Trilogy Active.
Further updates to employees, members, partners and users would be provided “as soon as possible” the firm said.
“Everyone Active has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with West Northamptonshire Council which has gone from strength to strength,” said Everyone Active’s regional contract manager Simon Fearn.
“We are extremely proud to have secured the new contract and are looking forward to working with all our current and new customers for many years to come.”
