Knutsford Market Hall has welcomed Jonty’s Fruit and Veg, ensuring that Knutsford continues to have a greengrocer following the departure of Alan’s Fruit and Veg.
Previous stall holder, Alan Bolshaw, left the market to focus on his new business running Sutton General Stores.
Knutsford local Jonty Page has promised to bring some bonhomie to his stall along with the essential fruit and vegetable offerings Knutsford Market Hall customers expect and love.
Jonty is a familiar face around the town, and commented: “I am really excited to be part of the Market Hall family. My aim is to provide fresh, local produce wherever possible.
“In addition, if customers can’t see what they want I will be more than happy to order it in for them. That includes recipes with the more exotic ingredients as well!”

The stall was officially opened by town mayor Cllr Peter Coan on Friday 10th August.
Cllr Coan said: “A high quality, local fruit and vegetable stall is at the core of any market and it is great to see this stall re-open with such enthusiasm and energy.
“I urge Knutsford people to visit their local market hall – it is the place for locally sourced, good value produce. Good luck Jonty!”
Knutsford Market Hall is open every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8am to 4pm. Jonty Fruit and Veg and The Market Café are both also open on Wednesdays.
