Macclesfield College principal celebrates three years

Shares

Principal and chief executive of Macclesfield College, Rachel Kay recently celebrated three years in the role.

Rachel took over at the college in August 2015 and has since worked hard to develop a clear vision for the future of the college.

With Rachel at its helm, the college has gone from strength to strength – for instance, levels of student satisfaction and staff engagement have increased to 94%.

It’s not just the staff and students who are pleased either, as the college was deemed ‘Officially Good’ by Ofsted inspectors late last year.

The college also found a position at the top of Department of Education league tables, securing the highest achievement rates for Apprenticeships across both Cheshire and Greater Manchester.

“The last 3 years have been a whirlwind of achievements and celebrations for all of us at Macclesfield College,” Rachel said.

“I’m incredibly proud of all of the hard work that has been undertaken by both students and staff alike, and it’s brilliant to see this recognised in recent DfE and Ofsted reports.”

She added: “I’m definitely looking forward to the future and am keen to find new and innovative ways to drive the accomplishments of the college.”
