Bolsover Lantern Parade will return on Saturday 30th November.
It is one of the UK’s biggest and longest-running light processions, according to the local council, and 2024 is its 30th anniversary year.
Starting at Bolsover Castle, the light show, featuring community-made lanterns, will travel through the historic town centre, creating a beautiful spectacle that culminates at the cenotaph for Christmas carols.
Thanks to English Heritage, residents of the town (with proof of address) can also take advantage of free access to Bolsover Castle between 10am and 4pm on the day of the parade.
The Bolsover Lantern Parade is also part of the Bolsover Winter Festival, a weekend of festive fun which takes place on 29th and 30th of November.
More information about the weekend can be found on the Visit Bolsover website: www.visitbolsover.co.uk
Bolsover Lantern Parade is a non-ticketed and free-of-charge, donations are welcomed to support the continuation of the event.
